Congratulations to our newest NAEOP Board Members!
Sari Byerly has worked for TRIO since 2002 starting her journey working with Upward Bound at the University of Utah. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Masters of Social Psychology at the University of Utah and her doctorate in Educational Leadership through the University of Idaho. She has been fortunate to find a home working for TRIO. She is currently the Director of four TRIO grants at Idaho State University Student Support Services, Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math Science, and Educational Talent Search. “I believe strongly in TRIO, the positive impact TRiO programs have on peoples’ lives is without question extraordinary. As the first person in my family to receive a college degree I remember the trials of a first-generation student. Great people help you along the way. I have been given amazing mentors, friends, and family to share my wonderful journey. My work with TRIO allows me the opportunity to show others similar precious moments.”
Hello! My name is Angela Archer and I am the Program Director for (as well as an alum) for Oregon Institute of Technology’s Student Support Services Program. I was so impressed with TRiO, I wanted to have the opportunity to be a part of it; to be that support to a student that my advisor was for me throughout my time at Oregon Tech. I am excited about the possibility of becoming the next NAEOP Secretary, as this would be the perfect position for me to become a more involved member of NAEOP. I am still very new to TRiO as a staff member. In an effort to learn as much as possible about TRiO, and how best to serve my students, I have tried to be an active member of both the state and regional organizations. Currently, I have gone through the Peer Review Training with NAEOP and have participated in a few reviews for other SSS programs in our region. I have also recently, become the District 2 Representative for the Oregon TRiO Association.
